ACUROCOR DP is a specially formulated Corrosion Inhibitor for Glycol additives designed to prevent corrosion in multi-ways. It treats the surfaces of the metal making them less susceptible to corrosion. It buffers the organic acids formed as a result of glycol oxidation. Inhibited glycol based heat transfer fluids provides corrosion protection without reducing system’s heat transfer efficiency.Glycol oxidizes when exposed to air and heat. When this occurs, organic acids are formed. If not properly inhibited, this fluid is very corrosive. AcuroCor DP is added to Glycol to act as buffers, preventing low pH attack on the system metals. AcuroCor DP also passivates the metal surfaces protecting them from corrosion.
ACUROCOR ACI is an excellent Corrosion Inhibitor for Nitric Acid, and a number of other cleaning agents, such as sulfuric, hydrochloric, acetic, hydrofluoric, sulfamic, and citric acids, as well as combinations such as citric- ammonium bifluoride, hydroxy acetic-formic, ammoniated citric, and ammoniated EDTA, and can be used with various metals and alloys. A Non-Chromate Corrosion Inhibitor coating composition for metal surfaces includes at least one inhibitor selected from the group consisting of phosphates, phosphosilicates, silicates, and mixtures thereof, at least one inhibitor selected from the group consisting of titanates, zinc salts, and mixtures thereof, and a carrier for these inhibitors, the carrier capable of placing the inhibitors in proximity with the metal surface. In a preferred embodiment, the coating composition further includes a borate such as boric acid, and a succinate. A preferred phosphate includes calcium dihydrogen phosphate, and sodium titanium oxide is a preferred titanate. The zinc salt can include zinc phosphate or zinc cyanamide.
